The Quest for Inclusion: From Bishop John Henry Hobart to Today

Dr. Townsend will speak on a panel at St. Ann and the Holy Trinity Church, Brooklyn, the Pro-Cathedral of the Diocese, as part of a celebration of the 200th anniversary of the founding of Hobart College. Other speakers include the Rt. Rev. R. William Franklin, Assisting Bishop of the Diocese; Michael Leroy Oberg, Distinguished Professor of History at SUNY Geneseo; the Rev. Nita Byrd, Chaplain and Dean for Spiritual Engagement at Hobart College; and the Rev. Dr. Patrick S. Cheng, Visiting Professor of Anglican Studies at Episcopal Divinity School at Union Theological Seminary. The Most Rev. Michael B. Curry, Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, is Honorary Chair of the Hobart College Bicentennial Committee and will deliver opening remarks by video.
